Frederiek is located just outside the picturesque village of Driehuizen bordering the Eilandspolder nature reserve. Just half an hour by boat is the Alkmaardermeer where you can enjoy yourself on the water and where there are several harbours to moor for breakfast, lunch, dinner or a shower. But you can also choose to take one of the beautiful ring canal routes and spend the night among the reeds on the dike under the stars. The beautiful villages of Grootschermer, De Rijp and West Graftdijk are all just an hour's boat ride from the mooring. De Rijp and Grootschermer have a supermarket and several restaurants and pubs within their boundaries. For guests renting the Frederiek for a few days, Alkmaar and Amsterdam are within easy reach. The boat has four berths and no licence is required.
Spending the night on the water is a fun experience for young and old. Don't want to sail? Then the boat can also be moored at a fixed berth. This could be in front of their own farm in Driehuizen or at the Island de Woude in the Alkmaardermeer. The island has a small beautiful village with two waterfront restaurants. You can enjoy walking and cycling here. At the Woude marina, you can use shower and toilet facilities for a small fee.
