Sunday market Middle Beemster
The Middenbeemster Sunday Market has been a household name in the Beemster and far beyond for over 30 years. Thanks to the efforts of many volunteers, an atmospheric and surprising event is organised year after year, attracting thousands of visitors from across North Holland.
In the historic centre of Middenbeemster, you’ll find over 200 market stalls offering a varied range of products. In addition, local businesses showcase their local and artisanal products at the regional market. There’s no shortage of entertainment either. Throughout the market area, musicians, street performers and surprising theatre acts create a lively atmosphere. Every year, the organisers seek out new acts to surprise and entertain visitors of all ages.
There’s plenty for children to enjoy. From 08:00 to 14:00, the children’s market takes place, where young entrepreneurs sell their own goods. Children can also go for a pony ride at the local pony club.
Combined with the activities organised by local businesses, the welcoming hospitality sector and the efforts of dozens of volunteers, this makes the Sunday Market a complete day out for the whole family.
