The exhibition ‘Oe Vrauwe Kêike’ is on display at the Volendams Museum until January 2027. Alongside historical works by forgotten female artists who visited Volendam in the last century, the exhibition also showcases contemporary female artists.
Julie Hengeveld’s lecture will explore the backgrounds and bodies of work of the female artists in greater depth, drawing on the exhibition themes of Cityscapes, Fishing, Daily Life, the Harbour, Hullen and Traditional Costumes.
