Purmerend Culture Market 2026

It’s a great opportunity to get a taste of the local culture in an accessible way and to see and hear what you can expect in this area over the coming season.

Between Kaasmarkt and Waagplein, from 10.00 to 16.00, you can discover the rich cultural offering of Purmerend and De Beemster. Music venues, theatres, museums, music schools and societies, NKT Theatre School, centres for visual arts, P3, Waterland Library and many more organisations will be delighted to show you what they have in store for the coming year at a lively market featuring information stalls. Various organisations will be providing a continuous programme of events on the outdoor stage.

New this year is the extensive indoor programme surrounding the market. For example, the Purmerends Museum will be open free of charge all day, and there will be drawing workshops organised by Cultuurhuis Wherelant. At Theater de Purmaryn, previews of performances from the coming theatre season will be shown throughout the day, and the Filmhuis/Stamhuis will present a series of trailers for upcoming films.

The programme will be updated over the coming weeks. The full programme will be available from 24 August in a clear timetable on the websites of the participating organisations.
