Exhibition | Paintings by L. Fransen

To mark his 85th birthday, he is exhibiting a selection of works that bring together the various techniques and subjects which have inspired him over the years.

Visitors can enjoy paintings, watercolours and graphic works, featuring themes such as flowers, landscapes and a few portraits. Fransen had already exhibited to great acclaim in Zuiderwoude in 2024, where his watercolours of the Waterland landscape in particular garnered much admiration.

The artist, who was born in Medemblik, has lived in Amsterdam-Noord since 1970 and has been drawing since his youth. After training at the School of Applied Arts in Amsterdam, he went on to develop his skills in a variety of disciplines, including painting, watercolour and printmaking.
