Doña Pessy (semi) Acoustic is a semi-acoustic band that brings a stylish and qualitative mix of jazzy, funky and soulful music. With room for groove, subtlety and improvisation, they create an intimate sound in which musicality and feeling are central.
Doña Pessy is the singer and namesake of the band. With her warm, expressive voice and natural stage presence, she knows how to give each song a personal touch. Her vocals move effortlessly between soul, jazz and funk, always with feeling and finesse.
The repertoire ranges from George Benson, Amy Winehouse, Sgevie Wonder to the jazz and jazz standards of Zaz to the soul of The Isly Brothers, Al Green and many others.
Doña is supported by Manfred de Rooij on bass, Lou Guldemond guitar and Anton Leijdekker drums.
