Music café with Marieke Duin, Angry Young Man & the house band

Marieke Duin Music
With three professional music qualifications (Piano/Keyboards, Singing and Choral Conducting) and nearly 30 years’ experience, Marieke Duin still takes great pleasure in her work. She plays and sings in bands, accompanies vocalists and choirs on the piano, and acts as their musical director. She has also performed as a pianist and singer on theatre stages and has collaborated with well-known Dutch personalities, bands and vocal groups. In addition, she coaches pianists, keyboardists and vocalists, composes music for businesses and runs singing workshops. In recent years, she has performed frequently as a soloist at restaurants, wedding ceremonies and corporate events — and no two performances are ever the same.

The Angry Young Men
The Angry Young Men are a five-piece rock cover band from Purmerend. The band members are still in their twenties, but their musical tastes hark back to the 1970s: think Deep Purple, Boston and TOTO. What began as a group of friends who enjoyed challenging each other musically has grown into a band that seeks out the most challenging repertoire — and then performs it on stage with total dedication. Fancy an evening of classic rock? Then you mustn’t miss The Angry Young Men.

Play along with the P3 house band
The P3 house band will also be playing this evening, and you can join in. Sing or play along to up to two songs, alongside an experienced band. You can sign up by email. You’ll practise first during the rehearsal evening and then take to the big P3 stage. That way, you’ll experience for yourself what it’s like to be part of a live performance.
