During the Volendam Days, the choir Stembent from Edam will perform at the harbour.

After the costume parade, the costume groups from all over NL will settle down on the terrace of Restaurant Café de Dijk for a break mo moment. The choir Stembent will give a beautiful performance for the costume groups on a fishing boat owned by the Loeges family.

Stembent is the Old Dutch name for a group of voice artists.

They are a mixed four-voice pop choir with a popular contemporary repertoire. From Coldplay to Nederpop and from Queen to Claude. Most of the songs are in English, but there is the occasional Dutch song and a bit of French. The choir rehearses on Tuesday evenings, together with conductor and pianist, in the small church De Vermaning on the Nieuwenhuizenplein, or Cheese Market, in Edam.
