About Jan Stuijt (1963)
Besides my work in education, I have always had a broad interest in art and culture. I coordinate art and culture education at my school and have also been involved in improving education in the field of science and technology for years. In my project Zeevang, meadow birds on the move, all the pieces of the puzzle fall together. I gained inspiration for these works of art during my many runs through Zeevang, where the meadow birds were my companions.

About Jan Stuijt (1963)

In my project Zeevang, meadow birds on the move, all the pieces of the puzzle fall together. I gained inspiration for these works of art during my many runs through Zeevang, where the meadow birds were my companions.
Characteristic of my work is the austere design combined with the fragile polder life. Machine and bird are equally important; together they make the artwork. The techniques I use are simple and easy to follow in their effect, functional, without unnecessary 'fuss'. The unpolished and often weathered material (metal and wood) in turn enhances the earthy character of my work.
