It took Amy Berger ten years to gain access to his archives through the heirs of Jeff Buckley (1966 - 1997). From these she drew richly for this documentary on the life of the man who became a musical icon in a short time.
On the one hand, thanks to his almost heavenly voice that only gained strength on high and that one phenomenal album 'Grace' and, on the other, to his death at the age of 30 that left the music world stunned. In an energetic montage, the film strings together moments from his childhood to his tragic end. There are recordings of him at the age of 14, of his performances at the New York underground cafe Sin-é and audio recordings of messages he left on answering machines. In it, we hear a more personal side of Buckley that is also covered in interviews with former band members, musician friends, his mother and former lovers. Their stories make this film a sensitive portrait marked by love.
