On Sunday 7 June 2026, the walk in and around the Beemster organised by Beemsters Welvaart will be walked for the 25th time.
The routes are again deliberately laid out. You will walk through and past two UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Droogmakerij de Beemster (the quadrants) and the forts of the Stelling van Amsterdam (it has been part of the Dutch Watelinies since 2021). From the dykes, you have a great view of the geometrically arranged landscape. Experience the difference in height between the ring canal and the lower land, after all, that's where you walk under zeenivrau.
The 40 km runners will make a loop via de Rijp before returning via Middenbeemster to the starting location, the Buurthuis Zuidoost. Rest points are available for all distances 10,15,25,40 km. The start location is open from 7:00 to 17:00.
