The Doors in Concert is a great tribute band. They pay tribute to the famous rock band The Doors. The Doors' lead singer Jim Morrison died in 1971.

The band will take you back to the 1960s. They play well-known songs such as Light my Fire, Love Her Madly, L.A. Woman and Riders on the Storm. The singer resembles Jim Morrison in voice and appearance. The keyboardist is strongly reminiscent of Ray Manzarek. The guitarist plays like Robby Krieger and the drummer resembles John Densmore.

The musicians want to stay as close to The Doors' original sound as possible. They therefore use only old instruments, just like the real band used to. Think of the Vox Continental, Gibson G-101 and Gibson SG. The keyboardist also plays the bass parts with his left hand, just like Ray Manzarek did. For this, he uses an original Fender Rhodes Piano Bass. The band also uses old amplifiers and microphones.

According to the band, The Doors often sounded better live than on their studio recordings. They draw inspiration from old live recordings such as Live at the Aquarius Theatre, Live in Pittsburgh, Live in New York, Live in Stockholm, Live at the Matrix and In Concert.
