Eilandspolder

The Eilandspolder is a protected breeding and hibernation ground for dozens of water, swamp and meadow birds, such as the black tailed godwit, the redshank and the ruff. Because of its high levels of acidity, the bog supports a number of rare plants species as buckler fern, sundew and marsch orchids. The main part of the polder can only be reached bij boat.
